In a 2l pressure cooker arrange the following in the order given.
Layer 1 - 6 tbsp oil and 6 tbsp tamarind water.
Layer 2 - 1 sliced onion and 5 ch garlic pods
Layer 3 - 2 whole tomatoes, 2 tbsp sambar powder and 1 tsp salt.
Layer 4 - 5 brinjals which are cut into quarters and stuffed with this paste (tamarind paste+ 2 tbsp of sambar powder + 2 tbsp salt+oil)
Cook at high heat for 5 mins. Opened after pressure settled, mashed tomatoes alone!
